Purpose of the group:

 

1. Bringing together Accomplished and committed Contemporary Artists from local, national and international talent pools within the Fantastic and Surrealistic art genre.

2. To establish Metamorphosis Gallery as a venue for continuing annual exhibitions as a combined gathering of Artists, Members and friends for the purpose of sharing Art, information and feedback within the Fantastic and Surrealistic art genre.

3. To bring external awareness and interest within the Fantastic and Surrealist art genre movement in Australia and Internationally.

4. To inspire and advance methods and techniques for Members within the Group.

It is with great excitement that we announce the first exhibition titled “Surrealism Now” to be held by C.A.S.M. at the Metamorphosis Gallery between Friday 21st November and Thursday 7th December 2014.

C.A.S.M. ( Contemporary Australian Surrealist Movement ) is a newly formed group of talented, committed and passionate contemporary artists striving to create an appreciation of original works of art. CASM aims to provide a venue for like minded artists to gather, inspire, teach, learn and develop advanced methods and techniques as well as to exhibit. The movement aims to bring external awareness and interest within the fantastic and surrealist art genre.
